'A Community Conversation' open discussion

All parents and community members interested in helping students achieve success and works together with Alamogordo schools are invited to join in "A Community Conversation" Tuesday, Aug. 26. This opportunity to work together to help local children succeed in school will be hosted at the brand new education center at Corinth Baptist, located at 400 Delaware Ave. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by community input and discussion at 6:30 p.m.
Sponsored by local businesses, churches and organizations including the National Education Association-Alamogordo, Corinth Baptist Church, Alamogordo Public Schools, and many others, the theme of this event is "A Community Conversation: Parents + Schools + Community = Success 4 Me!" When the community works together with families and schools, together, every child can succeed in school and life.
Bilingual moderators and recorders will be availability to gather input and ideas from Spanish language participants. Professional child care providers will be on hand to supervise children so parents to participate. Youth are encouraged to attend.
