Francine Nichols

Director of Administration

In role of Director of Administration, Francine Nichols is a hands-on and participative manager and who leads and develops an internal team to support the following areas: Finance, Business Planning and Budgeting, Human Resources, Administration, and IT. She plays a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and operations as the organization continues to enhance its quality programming and to build capacity.

Francine has been with The Paul J. Aicher Foundation since 1985, holding many positions throughout her tenure with the Foundation. She played a pivotal role in the creation and evolution of the Study Circles Resource Center (now called Everyday Democracy).  She was a part of the community assistance team for many years coaching organizers of dialogue-to-change programs and working with colleagues to develop tools and advice that communities can use to further their public engagement efforts.

In ancient times, before coming to the Foundation, Francine worked at Travelers Insurance Company working in the individual health insurance department. In this role she processed insurance claims and assisted agents in the claim process.

She holds a degree in Business Administration and has recently completed a certification course in Human Resource Development through the SHRM.

Francine is a proud mother and grandmother and an avid perennial and herb gardener.
