Carrie Boron
Knowledge Management Officer
Carrie
Boron serves as Everyday Democracy’s knowledge management officer. In this
role, Carrie leads and manages the organization’s knowledge-sharing functions
and activities, helping to foster and nurture a learning environment. She
provides staff with the guidance and support needed on projects and initiatives
to collect and share the best lessons and stories while also developing
trainings and systems to help facilitate the organization’s internal knowledge
flow.
Carrie has
a long and varied career at Everyday Democracy. Prior to her current role,
Carrie served as the organization’s deputy communication director for over five
years, helping to develop and implement strategic communication efforts. She
began her career at Everyday Democracy—then Study Circles Resource Center—as
communications associate in its Washington, D.C., office. During her time in
D.C., Carrie also served as communication associate Alliance for Justice, a
national nonprofit committed to advancing democracy and justice. She managed
the organization's press relations, publications and website for its various
social justice programs.
Carrie holds a bachelor's degree in
communications from the University of Maryland at College Park, Md.
