The U.S. Role in the World: Four Futures

[ Abridged version ] We are in a period of heightened public debate about America's role in the world. What issues are of most concern to us? What kind of world are we making? Participants deliberate on the strengths and challenges of four possible “Futures”. They should be encouraged to frame a “Future 5 “ that reflects their views. This material was developed for use in high school classes. Additional lesson plans and links to resources are available from the Choices Program at Brown University.
