Jean Ambrose, West Virginia Center for Civic Life project coordinator, was a founding member of the Center and served as President of its Board of Directors for several years. She is engaged in all facets of the Center’s work, including organizational development and training programs. Jean recently retired as the Executive Director of the West Virginia Commission for National and Community Service, the state’s volunteer agency, which she directed for thirteen years. She has extensive experience directing non-profit organizations and volunteer initiatives, especially in adult literacy, affordable housing, and community development.
