I have more than thirty-five years of experience in community and labor organizing, and non-profit administration. I have held responsible positions from hands on organizer to administrative and executive directorships in a variety of fields including tenant and neighborhood organizing, job training, community economic development, cooperative business development, disaster relief, volunteer leadership training, coalition building, labor rights, and political organization.
I now serve as the lead community organizer with the Episcopal Community Services of LA. ECSLA works to serve the poor, speak to issues of justice and build the beloved community throughout the region. Specifically I work to promote citizen participation in recovery and community revitalization planning and policy-making, by supporting community organizing, as well as conducting advocacy on issues affecting recovery, return, and revitalization.
I am the proud father of three adults and seven grandchildren
