Of more than 500 communities assisted by Everyday Democracy, Lynchburg, Va., has recruited the most people for a single round of dialogue. In February 2008, "Many Voices - One Community," also known as the Community Dialogue on Race and Racism, drew more than 500 participants and more than 100 volunteer facilitators.
In the spring of 2008, hundreds of people voted on which ideas generated in the dialogue-to-change program the community should move forward on to address racism.
